Sweep sweep

So I’m in the process of writing a school assignment of the mobile future (go figure…) and I stumbled upon a lot of information about the NFC (Near Field Communication) technology.

It can be described like this: “sweep sweep”

Yep, you just sweeeeep your cell phone over a transmitter and you’ll get all the information you want. Or you pay for your grocerys with your mobile phone. Sweep.

It basically allows your phone to send and recieve small bits of info wirelessly at close ranges. Like bluetooth but a lot faster and easier.

Anyhow, I’m going to continue with the assignment, take a look at Gizmodos article about it meanwhile.

Oh! My korean telecom operator just opened their first NFC-store in Seoul the other day. i GOT to go there.
